The Meadows pioneered the understanding that addiction is rooted in developmental trauma, not just chemical dependency. Pia Mellody's model is one of the most influential depth-oriented frameworks in addiction treatment. The campus includes specialized programs: Gentle Path (men's sexual addiction) and Willow House (women's trauma). Senior Fellows program brings leading clinicians for ongoing clinical development.

Depth Orientation

Built on Pia Mellody's Developmental Model of Immaturity — a depth-oriented framework that traces addiction and relational dysfunction to childhood developmental trauma and core issues of self-esteem, boundaries, reality, dependency, and moderation. Post Induction Therapy (PIT) is an experiential modality designed to access and process pre-verbal trauma. Concurrent care model treats underlying emotional wounds and resulting survival strategies simultaneously.
