Barbara Brugler is a Licensed Independent Social Worker-Supervisor, Board Certified Diplomat in Clinical Social Work, and Teaching Member of both Sandplay Therapists of America and the International Society for Sandplay Therapy. She earned her MSW from Ohio State University and has over 35 years of clinical experience.

Brugler practiced for many years in Worthington, Ohio, treating children and adults, before relocating to the Indianapolis area in 2022. While mostly retired from direct therapy, she continues to train and consult with sandplay practitioners.

Her published work includes 'Frozen in Time: Ice and Snow in Sandplay,' published in the Journal of Sandplay Therapy, which explores the symbolic dimensions of frozen imagery in the sand tray and its relationship to psychic states.
