Matthew Liveras

Matthew Liveras is a consultant psychiatrist and group analytic psychotherapist who serves as Chief Medical Officer at AION Clinic, a Care Quality Commission-certified ketamine-assisted therapy clinic in Islington, London. He trained in medicine and medical anthropology at University College London and completed his psychiatric training at UCL, subsequently practicing across inpatient and community settings in the NHS, private, and third sectors. His last NHS role was as consultant psychiatrist to a specialist psychotherapy service where he conducted analytic and mentalisation-based therapy groups. Before founding AION Clinic, Liveras served as Medical Lead at Awakn Clinics London, one of the United Kingdom's first dedicated ketamine-assisted psychotherapy services. He also holds positions at Klearwell, another London-based ketamine therapy provider. AION Clinic offers a structured eight-week programme combining evidence-based psychotherapy with medically supervised ketamine sessions for treatment-resistant mental health conditions.
