Genesee Herzberg

Genesee Herzberg, PsyD, is a licensed clinical psychologist in Berkeley, California, whose work sits at the intersection of depth-oriented psychotherapy and psychedelic-assisted healing. She earned her doctorate in clinical psychology from the California Institute of Integral Studies, where she developed a holistic, relationally grounded approach to treating complex trauma. Dr. Herzberg served as a psychotherapist in the landmark MAPS Phase 3 clinical trials investigating MDMA-assisted therapy for PTSD at the San Francisco Insight and Integration Center, and previously contributed as an adherence rater for MAPS Phase 2 research. She holds supervisory experience with the Zendo Project, MAPS' psychedelic peer support initiative. Her clinical orientation is psychodynamic and relational, emphasizing the interconnection of mind, emotions, body, and spirit. Dr. Herzberg is the founder of Sage Integrative Health, a clinic specializing in psychedelic-assisted medicine, where she also offers the Integral Psychedelic Therapy training program for practitioners. She provides ketamine-assisted psychotherapy, psychedelic integration, and intensive depth psychotherapy in both English, Spanish, and French.
