Derek Rubinstein

Derek Rubinstein is a licensed clinical psychologist in California with over fifteen years of education, training, and clinical experience in the mental health field. He earned his doctorate in clinical psychology from the California Institute of Integral Studies, a program that bridges depth psychology, contemporary neuroscience, and the world's contemplative wisdom traditions. Rubinstein works from an integrative perspective that draws on psychodynamic, transpersonal, humanistic-existential, and somatic approaches, incorporating Jungian archetypes and mindfulness into his therapeutic framework. He brings twelve years of practice as a Vipassana meditation practitioner and his own experiences working with psychedelics and plant medicines to his specialized work in the integration of spiritual and psychedelic experiences.
