About

Alison McQueen is the Clinical Director and Co-Founder of the Center for Medicinal Mindfulness, one of the first legal psychedelic plant medicine centers in North America, established in 2012 in Boulder, Colorado. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor, Board Certified Art Therapist, and Approved Clinical Supervisor. She serves as Lead Instructor of the Medicinal Mindfulness Academy. Alison has over 15 years of experience in the mental health field, including FDA-approved clinical research experience in psychedelic therapies as a Sub-Investigator in the MAPS MDMA Phase 2 trial (2011-2014). She also has four years of international experience in therapeutic art education in the Czech Republic. Her approach integrates transpersonal psychology from Naropa with somatic trauma depth work, combining body-centered, mindfulness-based approaches with art therapy and psychedelic-assisted therapy. She is a Licensed Psilocybin Facilitator Trainer (Colorado DORA-approved) and trained in Cannabis-Assisted and Ketamine-Assisted Psychedelic Therapy.

Clinical Orientation

Transpersonal psychology foundation from Naropa with somatic trauma depth work. Integrates body-centered, mindfulness-based approaches with art therapy and psychedelic-assisted therapy. Focuses on the intersection of creativity, embodiment, and consciousness in healing — a genuinely depth-oriented transpersonal approach rather than symptom management.
