About

Dr. Jeffrey Raff has been a Jungian Analyst in private practice in Colorado for over 35 years (45+ years as of more recent records), having graduated from the C.G. Jung Institute in Zurich in 1976. He received his Ph.D. in Psychology from Union Graduate School. A co-founder and President of the C.G. Jung Institute of Colorado, he is one of the most senior and respected Jungian analysts in the region.

Dr. Raff has devoted himself not only to clinical work with individuals but to the deep study of the inner world. He has developed original ideas for understanding the nature of the spiritual quest, including his theories on the imagination, the transpsychic realm, and inner figures. Central to his work is the concept of the 'Ally' — a spiritual entity whose relationship with the human offers a path of love and relatedness that creates a bond between the human and divine.

In addition to his private practice, Dr. Raff is a well-known teacher of Jungian thought, alchemy, Kabbalah, and related topics. His published works include contributions to 'The Sacred Heritage' and 'Alexandria 5,' as well as his books 'Jung and the Alchemical Imagination,' 'Healing the Wounded God' (co-authored with Linda Vocatura, published by Nicolas-Hays), and 'The Wedding of Sophia,' which draws on the alchemical masterpiece 'Aurora Consurgens' and its portrayal of the Goddess Sophia.

Clinical Orientation

Jungian analysis centered on the spiritual quest, integrating alchemy, Kabbalah, shamanism, and transpersonal psychology. His concept of 'Ally Work' explores the relationship between the human psyche and spiritual entities as a path of individuation. Studied Christian and Jewish mysticism, Buddhism, Advaita Vedanta, and Yoga.
