About
Dr. Christopher Jerome Carter is a Licensed Psychoanalyst (LP) and Nationally Certified Psychoanalyst (NCPsyA) in private practice in New York. Drawing on nearly 45 years of leadership experience, Dr. Carter has distinguished himself through his work providing mental healthcare, spiritual care, and education. He became one of the first African Americans to graduate from Union Theological Seminary's doctoral program in Psychiatry & Religion. His book 'Jungian Reflections on Systemic Racism' (co-authored with Tiffany Houck, Routledge, 2022) breaks new ground in bringing depth psychology into dialogue with racial justice. He is an Honored Listee in Marquis Who's Who (2024-2025). He offers Individual Adult Analysis, Couples Counseling, and Consultation/Coaching, with services in English and intermediate Spanish.
