Honorary Secretary of the IAAP and Professor in the Graduate School of Education at Kyoto University (Division of Interdisciplinary Studies in Education). Currently serves as Department Head of Educational Psychology (2025-2026) and Chair of the Clinical Psychology Research Ethics Review Committee. Trained at the C.G. Jung Institute in Zurich. Master's degree in Literature and PhD in Psychology, both from Sophia University. Senior analyst for the Association of Jungian Analysts, Japan (AJAJ). Also an honorary secretary of the JAJP (Japan Association of Jungian Psychology). Specializes in narrative analysis within psychotherapy, developing a systematic index for analyzing narrative processes based on 101 clinical cases. Maintains private practice in Tokyo in addition to academic role. Published 'Paradoxical Nature of Narrative in Analytical Psychotherapy' in Innovation: The European Journal of Social Science Research (2022). Published on the relationship between the sense of self and dream structures. Involved in multiple Japanese government-funded research projects (Kakenhi grants) spanning from 2001 through 2026, focusing on SNS counseling training, autism spectrum disorder, and psychotherapy resilience.
