Virginia Angel

Virginia Angel is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Diplomate Jungian Analyst in private practice in Houston, Texas. She holds a Bachelor of Arts from Rice University, a Doctor of Jurisprudence from the University of Houston, and a Master's Degree in Counseling Psychology from Pacifica Graduate Institute — a program distinguished by its depth psychology orientation, its motto 'For the Sake of Tending the Soul of the World,' and its requirement that each student engage in their own personal therapy.

At Pacifica, Virginia received training across a broad range of modalities including Jungian Psychology, Self Psychology, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Family Systems Theory, Archetypal and Imaginal Psychology, Sandtray and Play Therapy, Gestalt, and Object Relations Theory. She went on to complete her training as a Diplomate Jungian Analyst at the C.G. Jung Institute in Zurich, Switzerland, where her education was steeped in the tradition of analytical psychology while also encompassing more recent trends in Depth and Psychodynamic therapy.

Virginia's distinctive path — from law through depth psychology — informs her work with clients facing overwhelming challenges, difficult life transitions, depression, anxiety, and questions of meaning. Her aim is to provide a comforting, confidential space that facilitates exploration and growth, helping clients move toward a greater sense of well-being, empowerment, and a life that feels manageable, meaningful, and interesting again.
