About
Tomáš Holcner (Mgr./MA) is a Chartered Clinical Psychologist and psychotherapist based in Prague, specializing in adult psychotherapy and counseling. He has worked in the field of mental health since 2003, gaining extensive experience with individuals presenting complex mental health difficulties including anxiety disorders (agoraphobia, social anxiety disorder, OCD, PTSD, panic disorder, generalized anxiety disorder), depression, low self-esteem, relationship difficulties, bereavement, emotional distress, psychosomatic difficulties, and burnout.
His formal training is in Clinical Psychology from Masaryk University, where he obtained an M.A. degree, followed by further postgraduate studies in Clinical Psychology and Psychotherapy. He holds a functional specialization in psychotherapy and completed training at the International Association of Analytical Psychology, after which he became a training analyst and supervisor at the Czech Association for Analytical Psychology. He is additionally trained in EMDR therapy and Brainspotting.
For seven years (2011–2018), Holcner served as head of the Crisis Centre RIAPS, and he continues to engage in lecturing and educational activities for both the general public and professionals on topics including crisis intervention, anxiety disorders, and the treatment of PTSD. His primary therapeutic approaches include Jungian psychotherapy, EMDR, and Brainspotting.
In addition to in-person sessions at his private practice in Prague–Vinohrady, he currently also offers online consultations.
