Susan Tyler

Susan Tyler is a psychoanalyst and clinical supervisor in private practice in Brighton and central London, where she is a co-founder of a therapy group practice. She trained as a Jungian analyst at the Society of Analytical Psychology (SAP) and is a member of both the SAP and the International Association of Analytical Psychology (IAAP). Her clinical work and scholarly writing are anchored in the intersection of depth psychology and addiction, an area to which she has brought particular dedication over the course of her career.

Tyler has published in leading analytic journals, including "Transcending the Alcoholic Shadow" in the British Journal of Psychotherapy (2022) and "Seduction, Deception and Technology" in the Journal of Analytical Psychology (2023). Her approach draws on the Jungian tradition of working with the shadow, archetypal dynamics, and the symbolic dimensions of addictive processes. She sees individuals in person at her Brighton consulting room, in central London, and online, and she also offers supervision to fellow clinicians.
