About
Steve Garman is a licensed clinical psychologist and certified Jungian analyst with more than twenty-five years of clinical experience, practicing in Claremont, California. He holds a Doctor of Psychology (PsyD) and completed his analytic certification through the C.G. Jung Institute of Los Angeles, where he continues to be actively involved in the training and supervision of candidates and interns.
Garman's clinical practice is oriented toward depth-psychological work in which dreams, symbols, and other expressions of the unconscious are explored for their meaning and dynamic value. He works with individuals, couples, and families who may be struggling with emotional and relational difficulties, including depression, anxiety, panic attacks, and parent-child conflicts. His therapeutic approach draws on the Jungian tradition's emphasis on the individuation process, attending to the symbolic dimensions of psychological experience as a path toward greater self-understanding and wholeness.
As a senior clinician at the C.G. Jung Institute of Los Angeles, Garman contributes to the ongoing vitality of Jungian training in Southern California through his teaching, supervision, and mentorship of the next generation of analysts. His practice reflects a commitment to the careful, sustained work of depth psychology, grounded in the analytic relationship and attentive to the unconscious forces that shape human experience.
