Professor of Dynamic and Clinical Psychology and Ethnopsychology at the University of Cagliari, Italy (Department of Pedagogy, Psychology, Philosophy). Former President of the Associazione Italiana di Psicologia Analitica (AIPA) for the 2002-2006 term. Honorary Professor at the Department of Psychoanalytic Studies, University of Essex, UK. Director of the journal Studi Junghiani (Franco Angeli, Milano). Edited the entry 'Psychology' in three volumes for the UNESCO Encyclopaedia of Life Support Systems. Authored Political Passions and Jungian Psychology: Social and Political Activism in Analysis (Routledge, co-edited with Emilija Kiehl), A Jungian and Evolutionary Approach to Psychology and Culture: The Infinite Ladder, From Biology to Psychology in Jungian and Evolutionary Theory, and Jungian Psychology in the East and West (co-edited with Konoyu Nakamura). Internationally recognized research on evolutionary approaches to Jungian thought and the intersection of political, cultural, and ethnopsychological dimensions with depth psychology.
