Stefano Benegiamo

Stefano Benegiamo is a physician, analytical psychologist, psychotherapist, and Balint group facilitator practicing in Lecce, Puglia. He graduated in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Bologna and subsequently trained as a Jungian analyst through the Associazione Italiana di Psicologia Analitica (AIPA), completing a rigorous six-year biweekly psychoanalytic training program with external clinical placements. He is an ordinary member of both AIPA and the International Association for Analytical Psychology.

Benegiamo's clinical experience encompasses work in psychiatric rehabilitation, mental health clinics in Italy and Northern Europe, and neurology and stroke patient care at the Karolinska Institute in Stockholm. He holds a Certificate of Professional Training in eating disorders and obesity treatment (2001) and has completed core training in experiential dynamic therapy in Milan (2004). His current practice integrates individual and couple psychotherapy with Balint group facilitation and clinical case supervision.

As an analytical psychologist rooted in the Italian Jungian tradition, Benegiamo brings a distinctive medical background to depth-psychological work, combining somatic awareness with the symbolic and imaginal dimensions of the analytic encounter.
