About
Shelly Mok Toi Lam (莫黛琳) is an experienced Counselling Psychologist and Jungian Analyst in private practice in Hong Kong. Before following her calling to study psychology, she worked at one of the world's largest law firms, practicing as a solicitor admitted in Hong Kong, England and Wales. Through her own journey of career change, she was drawn to Jungian analysis — an in-depth approach that gently integrates different parts of ourselves to foster healing, transformation, meaning, and connection to the authentic self.
Shelly sees psychotherapy as a symbol of growing connection with one's inner light — the wisdom and healing potential within each person. She works with clients navigating life's challenges, including unresolved childhood issues, trauma, and life transitions such as college, marriage, divorce, parenthood, death, and separation. She offers a safe and compassionate space to uncover deeper meaning behind life experiences, navigate emotional challenges, and connect with inner wisdom.
Alongside verbal therapy, Shelly uses creative and non-verbal approaches including sandplay, art, and dreamwork to help clients connect with their authentic selves in ways that words alone cannot reach. She is fluent in Cantonese, English, and Mandarin, and also holds qualifications as an MBTI Certified Practitioner and is a Permanent Member of the Hong Kong Parent Education Association. Her academic background includes an LLB and PCLL from the University of Hong Kong and an LLM from Cambridge University.
