Shawn Klein

Shawn Klein is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) and Certified Jungian Analyst with over 30 years of experience working with individuals, couples, teens, and families in Southern California. He holds an M.A. in Clinical Psychology from Pepperdine University (1994) and completed his Jungian Analyst certification through the C.G. Jung Study Center of Southern California in 2011. He is also a certified MBTI Practitioner.

Shawn specializes in a broad range of concerns including anxiety, depression, grief and loss, addiction, life stage transitions, LGBTQ issues, parenting, and relationship and communication difficulties. He combines insight-oriented and solution-based approaches with depth psychology, tailoring his work to each individual's needs. A particular area of expertise is dream analysis and interpretation, which he uses to help clients uncover unconscious material, identify blind spots, and access their inner potential for healing.

In addition to his clinical practice, Shawn has been active in the professional community as a teacher, supervisor, and presenter on topics including Jungian theory, dream interpretation, shadow aspects of the psyche, and depression and anxiety. He has held leadership roles in the Ventura Chapter of the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists — including President from 2014 to 2016 — and has served on the Executive Council of the C.G. Jung Study Center of Southern California in multiple capacities, including Training Director. He was recognized as Volunteer of the Year (2012) and Leader of the Year (2014 and 2015) by the Ventura CAMFT chapter.
