Roger LaRade

Roger LaRade is a registered psychotherapist, Jungian analyst, and spiritual director in private practice in downtown Toronto, Canada. He holds a Post-Graduate Diploma in Analytical Psychology from the Ontario Association of Jungian Analysts (OAJA), where he currently serves as President and Director of Training. He is also President of the C.G. Jung Foundation of Ontario and sits on the faculty of the OAJA Analyst Training Programme. A senior supervisor recognized by the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO), LaRade has served on the OAJA board for nine years, six of them as President.

LaRade's path to analytical psychology was shaped by an earlier vocation in religious life. He entered the Society of Jesus (Jesuits) in 1977 and was ordained a Roman Catholic priest in 1986 before departing the order in 1990. He holds a B.A. in Philosophy from Saint Mary's University in Halifax, an M.A.T. in Theatre from Gonzaga University in Spokane, and an S.T.B. and M.Div. from Regis College at the Toronto School of Theology, University of Toronto. He is also the Primate Archbishop of the Eucharistic Catholic Church in Canada. This unusual confluence of philosophical, theatrical, theological, and analytical training lends his practice a distinctive depth, particularly in matters of spiritual direction, meaning-making, and the intersection of psyche and spirit.
