Rick L. Overman

Rick L. Overman is a licensed psychologist and certified Jungian psychoanalyst practicing from the southern Pacific zone of Costa Rica, where he serves as director of the C. G. Jung Center of Costa Rica (Centro C. G. Jung de Costa Rica). He received his Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the Illinois School of Professional Psychology in 1986 and his Diploma in Analytical Psychology from the Inter-Regional Society of Jungian Analysts in 2003, where he now holds the position of senior training analyst.

Overman's clinical orientation is guided foremost by his postdoctoral training and certification in Jungian psychology and analysis, a method that attends to the totality of the psyche and to the psychological factors operating beyond conscious awareness. His therapeutic work encompasses Jungian psychoanalysis and psychotherapy, with particular attention to spiritual and creative issues. He has served on the graduate faculty of the Harold Abel School of Social and Behavioral Sciences at Capella University and is a past president of the Board of the Center for Jungian Studies of South Florida.

With over thirty years in the mental health field, Overman offers his services internationally via Zoom, Skype, WhatsApp, and other telehealth platforms. His practice reflects a deep commitment to the Jungian analytical tradition, integrating dreamwork, symbolic process, and depth-psychological inquiry in the service of individuation and psychological transformation.
