About
Riccardo Bernardini is a Jungian analyst, academic psychologist, and cultural historian whose career bridges clinical practice, institutional leadership, and deep scholarship on the Eranos intellectual tradition. He holds doctoral degrees in psychology and teaches Dynamic Psychology and Psychology of Evil and Radicalization Processes at the University of Turin. He is a Fellow of the Associazione Per La Ricerca In Psicologia Analitica (ARPA), the Italian member society of the IAAP, and has served as Secretary of the Professional Order of Psychologists of Piedmont since 2019.
Bernardini is the Founding President and Director of the Institute of Analytical Psychology and Psychodrama (IPAP) in Ivrea, a postgraduate school of psychotherapy that received the 2021 European Commission EU Health Award for Mental Health -- Europe's highest honor in the field -- for its project providing psychological assistance in primary care during the COVID-19 emergency. He also serves as Scientific Secretary of the Eranos Foundation in Ascona, Switzerland, a role through which he has spent over two decades studying, restoring, and exhibiting the unpublished art of Eranos founder Olga Frobe-Kapteyn. His publications include Jung a Eranos: Il Progetto della Psicologia Complessa (2011), Eranos: Its Magical Past and Alluring Future (with N. Cater, 2015), Jung e Ivrea (2018), critical editions of C.G. Jung's The Solar Myths and Rebirth (2014-2015, 2020), and The Art of the Self: The Blue Book of Eranos Founder Olga Frobe-Kapteyn (Chiron Publications, 2025).
