Raymond Buscemi

Raymond Buscemi, PsyD, is a California Licensed Psychologist and an Analytical Psychologist certified through the C.G. Jung Institute of San Francisco. He received his Doctorate from The Wright Institute in Berkeley and completed his Analytical Training at the C.G. Jung Institute of San Francisco. He combines private analytic practice with academic teaching at CIIS and the Wright Institute.

Dr. Buscemi offers psychological services for individuals and couples, practicing psychoanalytic psychotherapy and tailoring his approach to each person or couple seeking treatment. He has experience treating a range of psychological issues including depression, anxiety, relationship and job dissatisfaction, as well as life transition issues such as college and graduate school stress, pre-marital counseling, and issues related to identity and sexuality. His doctoral work explored intimate partner abuse between men, reflecting a deep engagement with LGBTQ+ relational dynamics.

In addition to clinical work, Dr. Buscemi provides clinical and ethical consultation, training, and education for mental and medical health professionals and agencies. His consultation services cover substance use disorder assessment and treatment, motivational interviewing, and treatment issues specific to LGBT clients. All appointments are currently available both in person and via telehealth.
