About
Ralf T. Vogel is a psychoanalyst, behavioral therapist, and Honorary Professor of Psychotherapy and Psychoanalysis at the Hochschule für Bildende Künste (University of Fine Arts) in Dresden. Born in 1962, he studied psychology and sinology, earning his qualification as a Diplom-Psychologe, and completed his habilitation in psychology and psychotherapy sciences at Sigmund Freud University in Vienna. He has maintained a private practice for psychotherapy and supervision in Ingolstadt since 2001.
Vogel holds the position of teaching analyst and supervisor at the C.G. Jung Institut Zürich and serves as a dozent and supervisor at multiple psychotherapy training institutes. He is a member of both the IAAP and the DGPT (Deutsche Gesellschaft für Psychoanalyse, Psychotherapie, Psychosomatik und Tiefenpsychologie). His integrative orientation seeks to bridge different psychological schools and therapeutic modalities, combining elements of analytical psychology with behavioral and existential approaches in a reflected and constructive manner.
A prolific author and scholar, Vogel has published extensively on the theory and practice of analytical psychology, with particular attention to existential themes in psychotherapy, including death, dying, grief, palliative care, and hospice work. His books include C. G. Jung für die Praxis: Zur Integration jungianischer Methoden in psychotherapeutische Behandlungen (Kohlhammer, 2014) and works on active imagination, the shadow, and the individuation process. He is widely regarded as one of Germany's foremost experts on the clinical application of Jungian methods.
