Pedro Guilherme das Neves Mendes

Pedro Guilherme das Neves Mendes is an analytical psychotherapist and Jungian psychoanalyst based in Fribourg, Switzerland, with clinical experience dating to 2009. Born in Portugal and trained at the C.G. Jung Institute in Zürich, he completed his diploma in Analytical Psychotherapy and Jungian Psychoanalysis in 2018. He holds a Master of Science in Psychology, Counselling and Psychotherapies from ULHT in Portugal, a Master of Arts in Jungian and Post-Jungian Studies from the University of Essex, and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Lisbon.

Mendes brings a distinctive interdisciplinary trajectory to analytical psychology, having initially trained and practiced as a Naval Architect and Engineer before transitioning to clinical psychology. He is a founding member of the Portuguese Society of Analytical Psychology (SPPA) and maintains permanent membership in the Portuguese Psychological Association. His clinical work encompasses both in-person sessions at his Fribourg practice and online psychotherapy via Zoom, making his services accessible internationally.

Beyond his clinical practice, Mendes is an active educator in analytical psychology, offering psycho-educational trainings on Jungian typology, dream work, and applications of analytical psychology to cultural themes. He is a certified Gift Compass Advisor in Jungian Typology and has served as a lecturer and workshop facilitator in analytical psychology since 2011. He also completed additional training in Psychedelic Assisted Psychotherapy through IPT London.
