Ottavio Giuseppe Mariani

Ottavio Giuseppe Mariani is a physician, psychiatrist, and Jungian analyst practicing in Seregno, in the province of Monza and Brianza, Italy. He earned his medical degree from the University of Milan in 1984 and completed his specialization in psychiatry in 1988. In 1999, he received his diploma in analytical psychology from the C.G. Jung Institute in Zurich. Mariani is a member of the Centro Italiano di Psicologia Analitica (CIPA), the International Association for Analytical Psychology (IAAP), and the Association of Graduate Analytical Psychologists (AGAP). His clinical career spans hospital psychiatric work from 1987 to 1999 and a subsequent transition to private psychoanalytic practice. Since 2003, he has served as a trainer analyst at CIPA, and since 2007 as a certified supervisor for candidates in analytical training. His scholarly publications address Jungian perspectives on psychosis, the relationship between delirium and intuition, and the intersections of analytical psychology with technology and contemporary culture.
