Olivier Guex

Olivier Guex is a psychologist, federally recognized psychotherapist, Jungian analyst, and sandplay therapist practicing in Vevey, Switzerland. He earned his master's degree in clinical psychology from the University of Geneva in 1998 and obtained his diploma as a Jungian analyst from the C.G. Jung Institute Zürich in 2017. He is a member of the Committee of the French-speaking Branch of the Jung Institute.

Guex's therapeutic approach centers on the Jungian practice of listening to and attending to the symbol — through dreams, drawings, sandplay, and the psychic dynamics of personal, couple, and professional situations. He places significant emphasis on the psycho-corporeal dimension, working toward an overall harmonization of the person that bridges somatic and symbolic registers. His understanding of psychological distress frames symptoms as signals requiring the integration of new aspects of life.

Before establishing his private practice over a decade ago, Guex worked with children and adolescents experiencing psychological difficulties in various specialized schools and as a practitioner in a Dolto Green House. He currently treats adults, offering consultations in Vevey on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. He teaches courses on the psychology of symbols according to C.G. Jung and contributes to training programs for psychiatrists. He practices in French.
