Neil Hamer

Neil Hamer is a British Psychoanalytic Council registered Jungian analyst practicing in Emsworth, Hampshire, situated between Chichester in West Sussex and Portsmouth. He trained in psychoanalytic psychotherapy with the Guild of Psychotherapists in London, qualifying in 1999, and holds a BA Honours degree in social psychology. He has been in private analytic practice with adults for approximately thirty years, bringing extensive prior experience from the National Health Service, where he worked in psychotherapy, therapeutic communities, eating disorders units, and general psychiatry, providing individual and group psychotherapy as well as psychodrama. Hamer is a training analyst with the British Jungian Analytic Association and a senior member of the British Psychotherapy Foundation, holding membership in the International Association for Analytical Psychology and Psychotherapy Sussex. He has also trained in supervision with the Society of Analytical Psychology. His practice offers initial consultations of one hour and fifteen minutes to clarify the client's situation and assess suitability for analysis or psychotherapy, followed by fifty-minute sessions. He also provides supervision services for practitioners. Fees are discussed during the initial consultation and reviewed annually.
