Miguel Angel Mata

Miguel Angel Mata is a philosopher, psychotherapist, and Jungian analyst based in Venezuela. He holds a degree in philosophy and a master's degree in social psychology from the Central University of Venezuela, where he conducted research on popular religiosity and served as a researcher at the Center for Educational and Social Research (TEBAS). He completed his psychotherapy training at the Venezuelan School of Deep Psychology and subsequently graduated from the Venezuelan Institute of Analytical Psychology as a certified Jungian analyst. He is a member of the Asociacion Venezolana de Psicologia Analitica (AVPA) and the International Association for Analytical Psychology (IAAP), and is certified by the Asociacion Venezolana de Psicoterapia (AVEPSI). With over thirteen years of private practice, Mata integrates Jungian analytical psychology with therapeutic astrology and the I Ching, focusing on the phenomenon of synchronicity and its clinical applications. From childhood, he developed a deep engagement with Eastern philosophy, particularly Taoism and Buddhism, through practices including tai chi chuan, chi kung, and meditation, which inform his integrative approach to psychotherapy. He is a contributing author to Aletheia, the scholarly journal of the AVPA.
