About
Massimilla Harris, Ph.D., was born and grew up in Verona, Italy. Originally pursuing business school, she later returned to the University of Padova where she earned her Ph.D. in psychology and became a practicing psychologist. Following the call of her deeper vocation, she traveled to Zürich, Switzerland to train at the C. G. Jung Institute, where she became a Diplomate Jungian Analyst.
Her co-authored book with Bud Harris, 'Like Gold Through Fire,' originated as her thesis at the Jung Institute and explores the transforming power of suffering — a theme revealed to her through a powerful series of dreams that led her into a profound course of study on the nature of suffering and its role in human growth and individuation.
Together with Bud Harris, Massimilla has authored over 20 books on Jungian psychology, individuation, personal growth, and mythology, with a particular focus on respecting and healing the feminine in individuals and culture. They have lectured widely and continue to write and practice.
Massimilla and Bud both live and practice in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, offering appointments in their office as well as via Zoom. Their work centers on enabling the higher development of the person through C. G. Jung's Individuation process, working with dreams, relationships, personal issues, and the uncovering of hidden potentials.
