About
Marta Kotarba-Zaczek is a Jungian analyst, psychotherapist, and philosopher holding a doctorate in humanities (dr nauk humanistycznych). She serves as president of the Polskie Towarzystwo Psychologii Analitycznej (PTPA), the Polish Association for Analytical Psychology, which holds IAAP routers' group status. Her clinical approach integrates symbolic awareness with body-centered attentiveness, drawing on psychoneuroimmunology, cognitive science, and somatic methods. Prior to establishing her private practice in Warsaw, she spent six years supporting individuals with chronic connective tissue diseases through the 3majmy się razem Association, an experience that deepened her understanding of the interplay between psyche and soma. Kotarba-Zaczek has contributed to the scholarly literature on active imagination, authoring a chapter titled Imaginative Movement Therapy: A Neo-Jungian Approach to Active Imagination. She has presented at international forums including the ÖGAP online training series, where she lectured on topics such as morphological freedom and the psyche, and the self as metaphysical principle in dialogue with classical metaphysics. Her practice centers on accompanying clients through the individuation process with particular attention to the language of dreams, physical symptoms, and unconscious desire, creating what she describes as a space where what is repressed, forgotten, or unspoken can finally be heard.
