María Paz Abalos Barros

María Paz Abalos Barros is a clinical psychologist and Jungian analyst based in Santiago, Chile. She holds a degree in clinical psychology from the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile and is certified as an analyst through the Sociedad Chilena de Psicología Analítica (SCPA), an IAAP-affiliated society. Abalos Barros is a founding partner and Director of Formation of the SCPA, where she plays a central role in shaping the training curriculum for the next generation of Chilean Jungian analysts. She also serves as Director, Professor, and Clinical Supervisor in the Master's program in Jungian Clinical Psychology at Universidad Mayor. Her clinical work centers on adult psychotherapy informed by the analytical tradition, and she offers both in-person and online sessions from her office in Providencia. In addition to her training and supervisory responsibilities, she provides clinical supervision to practicing psychologists. Her professional registration is verified with the Chilean Health Authority. Abalos Barros has presented at international Jungian conferences, including the XXII International Congress for Analytical Psychology held in Buenos Aires in 2022, reflecting her active engagement with the broader IAAP scholarly community.
