## Biography

Luis Saraiva is a Jungian analyst based in Porto, Portugal, and one of the pioneering figures in the development of analytical psychology in that country. He holds a diploma from the C.G. Jung Institut in Zurich, earned in 2005, and is an accredited analyst of the institute. He is a member of both the International Association for Analytical Psychology and the International Association of Jungian Studies.

Saraiva's academic background is notably interdisciplinary: he holds degrees in both Economics and Humanities, both completed in 1999, before undertaking his analytic training in Zurich. He has taught at several Portuguese institutions, including the Faculty of Philosophy in Braga, where he offered courses in Jungian Psychotherapy and Social Psychology, and the Instituto Cultural D. Antonio Ferreira Gomes in Porto, where he taught a course on Jung's Psychology. He continues to serve as a faculty member at Instituto CRIAP.

His most significant organizational contribution was coordinating and organizing the first International Congress of Analytical Psychology in Portugal in May 2010, a landmark event for the Jungian community in the Lusophone world. He is closely associated with Academia Jung, the International Academy of Analytical Psychology based in Braga, which has been training Jungian analysts in Portugal since 2013.
