About

Lise Misser Berg is a Jungian analyst, architect, and one of the most prominent figures in international analytical psychology. Born in 1948, she trained as an architect, earning her M.A.A., and became a certified Jungian Analyst through the International Association of Analytical Psychology in 1992. She co-founded the Danish Society for Analytical Psychology, serving as its President from 2000 to 2005, and held the position of Director of Training at the C.G. Jung Institute in Copenhagen from 2006 to 2019, shaping a generation of Scandinavian analysts. Her institutional leadership extends to the international level, where she served as Chair or Co-Chair of the IAAP Education Committee from 2013 to 2025 and as President of the IAAP from 2022 to 2025, guiding the global standards and development of analytical psychology training worldwide. Berg maintains a private practice north of Copenhagen in Alleroed, Denmark, and has published articles and book chapters on analytical psychology, lecturing and examining in Denmark and internationally. Her unique formation as both architect and analyst informs her understanding of psychic structure and spatial experience, and her decades of leadership in training, governance, and clinical practice place her among the most influential contributors to contemporary Jungian thought.
