Laraine Kurisko

Laraine Kurisko, PhD, LP is a Licensed Psychologist and Jungian Psychoanalyst based in Eden Prairie, Minnesota, serving residents throughout the state. She has been a psychotherapist since 1987 and has worked across many different areas of mental health. For the past 20+ years, her primary focus has been working with motivated adults in individual psychotherapy sessions.

With a PhD in Clinical Depth Psychology from Pacifica Graduate Institute and post-doctoral training as a Jungian Psychoanalyst (Diplomate, Jung Institute Chicago), Dr. Kurisko views symptoms as meaningful and valuable — as the best means of connecting with unconscious contents. Her work as a depth psychologist centers on furthering each person's unique individuation process through methods that access unconscious, latent wisdom and potentials, including working with dreams, active imagination, synchronicity, intuition, typology, image-work, sand-tray, journaling, symptoms, the body, myth, and fairytales.

Dr. Kurisko has a subspecialty in narcissistic abuse treatment and runs therapy groups for survivors, framing narcissistic abuse through a Jungian lens of complex psychology and archetypal dynamics. She is also trained in EMDR and hypnosis. Her therapeutic approach emphasizes building a safe and trusting relationship to explore authentic aspects of the self that need healing, with the goal of helping clients live their fullest potential and experience an enhanced sense of purpose, meaning, and fulfillment.
