Kusum Dhar Prabhu

Kusum Dhar Prabhu is a Jungian psychoanalyst and Somatic Experiencing practitioner based in Bangalore, India, and a graduate of the C.G. Jung Institute in Kusnacht, Switzerland. She is the Founding Director of the Jung Center Bangalore and has served as President of the All India Association of Analytical Psychology, playing a pivotal role in establishing Jungian analysis as a recognized discipline on the Indian subcontinent. Her clinical work integrates art, dreams, myth, and nature as essential elements of the analytic encounter, while her broader scholarly interests focus on the intersection of archetypal psychology with cultural studies. Under her leadership, the Jung Center Bangalore has conducted sustained research on the cultural complex as it manifests in individuals and groups, facilitating programs that bring the insights of analytical psychology to psychotherapy, art, religious history, and community engagement. She is a member of the Association of Graduates in Analytical Psychology and the International Association of Analytical Psychology. In addition to her Jungian training, she holds certification in Somatic Experiencing and family constellation work, reflecting her commitment to embodied and relational approaches to psychological healing.
