Kelly Polanski

Kelly Polanski is a clinical psychotherapist and Jungian analyst based in Edmonton, Alberta. She is a Diplomate graduate of C.G. Jung's original institute in Küsnacht, Switzerland, having completed her training in 2016 and receiving IAAP certification (Certificate 9161/2016). She is a member of the Assembly of Accredited Analysts and practices through the Western Canadian Association of Jungian Analysts and the Pan-Canadian Society of Analytical Psychology.

Polanski's path to analytical psychology followed an accomplished first career in business. She holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Alberta and accumulated thirty years of business experience before pursuing a Master of Psychotherapy at St. Stephen's College, University of Alberta, which licensed her for private practice through the British Columbia Association of Clinical Counsellors. This dual formation in commerce and depth psychology gives her an unusual perspective on issues of ambition, career transitions, and the individuation process in professional life.

Her clinical and scholarly focus centers on the transformation of infant trauma in adults. She has published the book Infant Trauma in Adults: A Jungian Selving Transformation (Routledge), which advances interdisciplinary inquiry across neurobiology, infant research, developmental psychology, Jungian analytical psychology, and psychoanalysis. The work explores how unremembered first-year experiences form the foundation of adult unconscious dissociation. She lectures and teaches widely on this topic. Her practice offers individual therapy, couples therapy, dreamwork, sandplay, and remote counseling, with sessions ranging from $80 to $200 CAD.
