Kathryn Cook-Deegan

Kathryn Cook-Deegan is a Zurich-trained Analytical Psychologist and Licensed Psychoanalyst based in Washington, DC, holding degrees in Classics (MA) and Public Administration (MPA), along with a Diplomate in Analytical Psychology from ISAPZurich. She provides psychotherapy for adults with a philosophy of taking the whole person into account, with a special interest in the body-soul interface and embodiment.

She is a professional member of several distinguished organizations, including the International Association for Analytical Psychology (IAAP), the Association of Graduate Analytical Psychologists (AGAP), the Jungian Analysts of Washington (JAWA), and the Yoga Alliance. She has served on the board of the Jungian International Training Zurich Foundation and previously co-chaired Jungian Training Zurich.

Her additional involvements include participation in an Infant Observational Program (2024–2026), Celtic Calendar storytelling, and a fellowship at the Berkshire West Center for Psychoanalytic Practice and Psychotherapy (BWCPP) from 2015 to 2016. She particularly appreciates working with foreign-born clients who bring international and multicultural perspectives to the therapeutic relationship.
