Kathrin Hartmann, Ph.D., is a clinical psychologist, psychotherapist, and internationally certified Jungian analyst practicing in Norfolk, Virginia. Originally trained in clinical psychology at the University of Bonn in Germany, she continued her studies at Palo Alto University in California and completed her Jungian analytic training through the Philadelphia Association of Jungian Analysts. She is a member of the Inter-Regional Society of Jungian Analysts, the Philadelphia Association of Jungian Analysts, and the International Association of Analytical Psychology. With over twenty-five years of clinical experience working with children, adolescents, and adults, Dr. Hartmann specializes in analytical psychotherapy, Jungian analysis, and clinical supervision. Her practice draws particular interest from therapists, health professionals, immigrants, and individuals seeking depth-oriented psychological work. A Professor Emerita at Eastern Virginia Medical School, she has contributed to the academic and clinical training of mental health professionals throughout her career. Together with fellow analyst Tim Sanderson, she co-founded the Jung Center Norfolk, a community organization dedicated to the exchange of Jungian ideas and the deepening of psychological awareness in the Hampton Roads region.
