About
Katharine L. Bainbridge is an IAAP-certified Jungian analyst, licensed marriage and family therapist, and Somatic Experiencing practitioner in private practice in Encino, California. She is a graduate of New York University, Antioch University, and the C.G. Jung Institute of Los Angeles, where she received her certification as a Jungian analyst in 2009. With over twenty-five years of clinical experience as a licensed psychotherapist, Bainbridge maintains an integrative, trauma-informed, and depth-oriented approach to psychotherapy that draws upon Western psychology, ancient wisdom traditions, modern neuroscience, somatic awareness, and interpersonal neurobiology. She specializes in working with creative and sensitive individuals who are seeking deeper meaning and healing, particularly those navigating early childhood trauma, significant life transitions, or the psychological challenges of the second half of life. A practitioner of Tibetan Buddhism for over thirty years, Bainbridge brings contemplative perspectives into her clinical work alongside dreamwork and somatic body awareness. She has taught Jungian psychology at The New Center for Psychoanalysis and the C.G. Jung Institute of Los Angeles, and has trained in shamanic practices. She is a member of the C.G. Jung Institute of Los Angeles, the Inter-Regional Society of Jungian Analysts, and the International Association for Analytical Psychology.
