Karen Stoddard

Karen Stoddard is one of the few IAAP-certified Jungian analysts in the Minneapolis-St. Paul area, bringing over twenty years of mental health experience grounded in clinical social work before earning her Jungian diploma. She is an active member of the Minnesota Jung Association and holds membership in several professional organizations including the National Association of Social Workers, the Minnesota Association of Clinical Social Workers, the American Association for Psychoanalysis in Clinical Social Work, the Inter-Regional Association of Jungian Analysts, and the International Association for Analytical Psychology. She is also an associate member of Sandplay Therapists of America.

Karen offers Jungian-oriented psychotherapy with a holistic approach, viewing clients as whole persons whose current concerns are understood in the context of their full life — past memories and events, present circumstances, and future goals. Symptoms and conflicts are viewed not merely as problems to be solved, but as callings that prompt meaningful inner work and lasting transformation.

She works with a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, trauma and abuse, medical trauma, relationship issues, work and career concerns, aging, end-of-life concerns, midlife transitions, illness, anger, sexuality, self-esteem, grief and loss, and religious or spiritual concerns. Her office is located in the Macalester-Groveland area of Saint Paul, Minnesota. She is an out-of-network provider and can assist clients in accessing insurance benefits, and offers a free initial consultation.
