Karen Hodges, PhD, is a Jungian analyst in private practice since 1996 in Charlotte, North Carolina and a diplomate of the C.G. Jung Institute in Zurich, Switzerland. Her foundational influences include poetry, motherhood, dream work, and analysis completed in Zurich. She conducts individual analytical work with adults, paying respectful attention to dreams. Her Zurich dissertation explored what melancholic depression can mean for the individual sufferer, its presentation in the analytical setting, and attitudes on the part of the analyst which may best serve the work. She currently writes and lectures on psyche's relationship with the natural world. She and her husband Howard have been offering Jungian psychoanalytic consultations for adults in Charlotte since 1996.
