Karen Harper

Karen Harper is a licensed clinical social worker and depth psychologist practicing in East Nashville, Tennessee, where she has built a practice centered on trauma, abuse, and grief therapy. She holds a Master of Science in Social Work from the University of Tennessee, completed in 1994, and a PhD in Depth Psychology from Pacifica Graduate Institute, earned in 2019. Her doctoral training at Pacifica grounded her in the Jungian and archetypal traditions that inform her clinical identity.

Harper's therapeutic approach is primarily Jungian, emphasizing work with the unconscious aspects of Self through dream work, sandplay, shadow work, and active imagination. She is Level II trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), allowing her to integrate somatic trauma processing with depth-oriented exploration.
