Juan Carlos Albaladejo Martínez is a clinical psychologist, Jungian analyst, and sandplay therapist based in Barcelona, Spain. He holds a degree in Philosophy and Letters, Psychology from the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (1986), specializing in child and adult clinical psychology. He is a didactic member of the Sociedad Española de Psicología Analítica and of the International Association for Analytical Psychology, an accredited psychotherapist through FEAP, and the president of the Catalan Association of Analytical Psychology. He served as president of SEPA from 2015 to 2018. Together with his colleague Esperanza Pérez, Albaladejo Martínez is recognized as a pioneer in Spain for applying sandplay therapy to adult populations, extending a modality traditionally associated with child analysis. He is the author of El Tió, Mitologia i Simbologia (2014) and has contributed chapters to international publications including Il Bambino Segregato (2021). With more than thirty years of professional experience, he teaches seminars for psychology professionals on sandplay therapy and analytical psychology, and has been featured as a commentator on psychological topics in La Vanguardia, Magazine Digital, and various television programs. He lectures on Dance Movement Therapy at the UAB Barcelona master's program.
