About

José Jorge de Morais Zacharias is a psychologist and didactic Jungian analyst recognized by the Associação Junguiana do Brasil (AJB) and the International Association for Analytical Psychology (IAAP), based in São Paulo, Brazil. He holds a master's degree in School Psychology and a doctorate in Social Psychology, both from the Psychology Institute of the Universidade de São Paulo (USP). Zacharias has served as a university professor for more than forty years at institutions including PUC Minas, UNICID, UNIABC, and USJT, where he developed teaching programs, supervised clinical internships, and advised graduate students. He is the author of the QUATI (Questionário de Avaliação Tipológica), a widely used Jungian typological assessment instrument in Brazil, as well as co-author of the Tear de Palavras and GOPC diagnostic tools. His published works address Jungian psychological typology, the archetypal dimensions of African-Brazilian religiosity — particularly the Orixás — and the integration of traditional religious knowledge with analytical psychology, most notably in his book Orí Àse: A Dimensão Arquetípica dos Orixás. He currently maintains a private analytical practice in the Vila Mariana neighborhood of São Paulo, teaches in postgraduate specialization courses in Analytical Psychology at multiple institutions throughout Brazil, and provides analytically oriented clinical supervision.
