About
Jakob Lusensky is a certified Jungian psychoanalyst, Swedish-born and trained in Zurich, who has been working in private practice in Berlin for over eight years. He offers Jungian psychoanalysis, training analysis, and counseling in English, Swedish, and German — both in person at his practice in Neukölln, Berlin, and internationally online through the secure platform It's Complicated.
His work aims to help individuals find purpose and restore meaning in their lives. He specializes in working through loss, existential crises, trauma, and difficult life transitions. In his therapeutic process, he draws on dreams, active imagination, creativity, play, and active listening. He also offers training analysis for trainees in Analytical Psychology programs, as well as supervision consultations.
Drawing on the Jungian psychoanalytic tradition, Jakob views symptoms such as panic attacks, anxiety, compulsions, and psychosomatic problems not merely as conditions to be removed, but as meaningful signs that may call for a deeper change in how one lives. Through mutual exploration of unconscious conflicts, complexes, and childhood experiences, he supports clients in navigating the chaos and suffering that everyday life entails.
Jakob holds a Diploma in Analytical Psychology from the International School of Analytical Psychology (ISAP) in Zürich and is licensed as a Heilpraktiker für Psychotherapie in Germany. He is a member of the IAAP (International Association for Analytical Psychology) and AGAP. He does not work with public insurance.
