About
Jacintha Lai is a Jungian analyst and psychotherapist based in Singapore, affiliated with the C.G. Jung Institute Zürich Alumni Association and the International Association for Analytical Psychology (IAAP). She holds a Master of Social Science in Counselling from the University of South Australia and is a Registered Clinical Supervisor with the Singapore Association of Counselling (SAC), a Social Service Practitioner with the Singapore Association of Social Workers (SASW), and a member of the International Association of Counselors and Therapists (IACT) and Sandplay Therapists of America. Her specialization lies in depth psychology with a focus on Jungian analysis and sandplay therapy, particularly the treatment and recovery from various forms of trauma in both adults and children through symbolic expression and experiential methods. Lai has accumulated many years of experience as a psychotherapist within government bodies including the Singapore Prison Service and the Ministry of Social and Family Development. She founded Sandplay Therapy Singapore and the Relationship Enhancement Institute, and her most significant institutional contribution is the establishment of the Analytical Psychology School SG (jung-sea.com), which provides Jungian training to students across the region. She also serves as Asia Director for the Grief Recovery Institute, USA, and as the main coordinator for an emerging Jungian development group in Singapore.
