Irene Candelieri is a psychologist, psychotherapist, and CIPA-IAAP certified Jungian analyst based in Trieste, Italy. She holds a PhD from the Department of Humanities at the University of Trieste and dual Master's degrees in Philosophy and Psychology. Her academic career has included positions as a teaching assistant at the University of Verona's Department of Philosophy, Education and Psychology, a member of the Laboratory of Philosophy and Politics of Image at the University of Trieste, and a scientific collaborator at SISSA, the International School for Advanced Studies. In 2006, she received a scholarship from Italy's Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Mongolia's National University to conduct anthropological fieldwork on Mongolian shamanism. Her research interests span analytical psychology, addiction and affective neuroscience, ethics of care, psychology of art, and the sacred feminine. Candelieri published the first Italian study on dolphin-assisted therapies with Mimesis in 2018. Her clinical practice encompasses individual and couples psychotherapy and psychoanalysis, with particular attention to dream psychology, the psychosomatic and traumatic dimension, psychology of reproduction, and support in medically assisted reproduction pathways.
