About
Dr. Hans van den Hooff is a Jungian psychoanalyst in private practice in Amsterdam, working with people from a wide range of backgrounds including young entrepreneurs, artists, corporate leaders, healthcare professionals, academics, and expatriates. He previously worked as a psychotherapist and Jungian Analyst in London before establishing his independent practice in 2001.
Hans van den Hooff has written and lectured internationally in the fields of Executive Coaching, Analytical Psychology, unconscious processes in organizations, and interpersonal organizational dynamics. He is a Senior Analyst with the Independent Group of Analytical Psychologists (IGAP) in London, a member of the International Association of Analytical Psychology (IAAP), the Nederlands Genootschap voor Jungiaanse Psychoanalyse (NGJP), and the International Neuro-psychoanalysis Society (NPSA).
Before transitioning to psychoanalysis, he followed an unusual career path through the sciences and management consulting. He worked as a physicist for Shell in Europe and the United States, and subsequently became a consultant and partner at PA Consulting Group and Arthur D. Little. He holds a PhD in Physics and Mathematics from the University of Amsterdam and qualified as a psychotherapist and Jungian Analyst in London.
