## Biography

Gary Trosclair, DMA, LCSW, is a psychotherapist and Jungian analyst with 30 years of experience practicing in New York City and Westchester County. He is the founder of The Healthy Compulsive Project, which includes a book, blog, and podcast using Jung's concept of teleology and a prospective approach to understand obsessive-compulsive personality and help perfectionists move toward wholeness. He holds a dual background in music and clinical social work, with a DMA from SUNY Stony Brook, a Master of Music from Yale School of Music, and an MSW from New York University.

Trosclair has served as President of the New York Association of Analytical Psychology (NYAAP) and as Director of Training at the Jung Institute. He works with individual adults on a broad range of concerns including depression, perfectionism, work addiction, compulsive or 'Type A' personality traits, relationship issues, and personal growth through dream-work.

He is the author of 'I'm Working On It In Therapy: How To Get The Most Out Of Psychotherapy,' a guide for clients in traditional talk therapy, also known as depth or psychodynamic therapy. He has also written articles on dreams, therapy, and personal transformation for the Huffington Post.
