Gary S. Toub

Gary S. Toub, Ph.D., is a diplomate Jungian analyst with over forty years of clinical experience. He is a graduate of the Training Institute of the Inter-Regional Society of Jungian Analysts and the Research Society for Process-Oriented Psychology. For more than twenty-five years, Dr. Toub served as President and Director of Training at the C.G. Jung Institute of Colorado, where he continues to work as a Senior Training Analyst, supervising clinicians and teaching classes to the broader public. His therapeutic approach centers on Jungian spiritual direction, employing dream interpretation and active imagination to explore the unconscious and assist the individuation process. Dr. Toub's additional interests include synchronicity, mind-body phenomena, alchemical active imagination, Taoist philosophy, shamanism, and mystical experiences. He is the author of numerous articles on Jungian themes, and his essay 'The Usefulness of the Useless' was included in the widely read 1991 anthology Meeting the Shadow: The Hidden Power of the Dark Side of Human Nature. He offers both in-person sessions at his Eureka Springs, Arkansas, office and phone or video consultations by appointment. Reduced rates are available upon request.
