Emanuela Mihailescu

Emanuela Mihailescu is a Jungian psychoanalyst and Canadian Certified Counsellor based in Calgary, Alberta. She holds a Master of Arts in Analytical Psychotherapy and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Pedagogy from Spiru Haret University in Bucharest, Romania. In 2018, she graduated from the C.G. Jung Institute in Zürich-Küsnacht, Switzerland, as a certified Jungian psychoanalyst, completing her diploma thesis on the relationship between religious quest and the individuation process. A registered psychologist in Romania since 2006, Mihailescu relocated to Canada and began her clinical career as an addiction counselor at the Salvation Army's Men's Residential Program before establishing her private practice in southwest Calgary in 2010. She is a member of the International Association for Analytical Psychology, the Western Canadian Association of Jungian Analysts, the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association, the Romanian Association of Analytical Psychology, and the Calgary Jung Society. Her clinical work centers on addiction, trauma, anxiety, and depression, drawing on the analytic tradition to support clients through life transitions and psychological distress. She primarily conducts her practice online, offering individual counseling, psychotherapy, and psychoanalysis to a select number of clients. In 2019, she presented a lecture and seminar entitled 'Dreams: An Opening to the Inner World' for the Calgary Jung Society.
